PVC external lubricant PE WAX for PVC/SPC flooring

PE WAX features outstanding core physical and chemical properties. It is mostly white in appearance, with a melting point usually between 90℃ and 120℃, a molecular weight concentrated in 1000–8000g/mol and a density of 0.90–0.96g/cm³. It has stable chemical properties, acid and alkali resistance, non-toxicity, low volatility at high temperatures, and excellent compatibility with polyolefin resins such as polyethylene and polypropylene. It can also be compounded with polar resins such as PVC and EVA, suitable for various polymer material processing systems.

1.Excellent lubrication performance

The core features efficient external lubrication, which can form a dense lubricating film on the surface of the melt and the metal surface of the processing equipment, greatly reducing frictional resistance, significantly improving demolding effect, and effectively avoiding processing problems such as sticking, tailing, and surface scratches. At the same time, it also has a slight internal lubrication effect, which helps to reduce melt viscosity and improve material processing fluidity, making it suitable for various plastic processing processes such as extrusion, injection molding, blow molding, and compounding.

2.Stable performance with excellent temperature resistance

Excellent compatibility and high adaptability with polyolefin resins. As a non-polar wax, its molecular structure is similar to that of polyolefin resins such as PE and PP, exhibiting far superior compatibility compared to other wax additives. It can be directly used in high-proportion formulations without easily experiencing migration, precipitation, or blooming issues. It ensures the surface smoothness and internal performance stability of polyolefin products, making it a preferred additive for polyolefin processing.

3.Excellent dispersibility

PE WAX exhibits excellent dispersibility for pigments and fillers, effectively preventing agglomeration and enhancing dispersion efficiency. For instance, in high-filling PVC flooring, the addition of PE wax improves surface smoothness and impact resistance.

4.Good compatibility

PE WAX can improve the plastic fluidity, demolding, lubricity, pigment and filler dispersion, and the compatibility with resin. It can also improve the high temperature dynamic stability of PVC, improve the dispersibility of impact agent and filler, thus improving the impact strength and reducing the processing energy consumption.

5.High melting point

It features a high melting point and excellent high temperature resistance, maintaining stable lubricating performance even in high temperature processing environments without melting failure or high temperature volatilization, suitable for high temperature extrusion, injection molding and other processing technologies of various polymer materials.

In the production and processing of PVC flooring (homogeneous flooring, multi-layer composite flooring).The addition of polyethylene wax can effectively reduces friction between the melt and extrusion equipment, solves problems of mold sticking, surface fuzzing and dimensional deviation during flooring extrusion; optimizes melt flow uniformity, improves the surface smoothness and slip resistance of flooring, enhances scratch and wear resistance, makes flooring textures clearer and forming more regular, adapts to continuous high-speed extrusion process and improves production efficiency.

2.PVC pipes/profiles

In the production of PVC water supply pipes, pipe fitting and door/window profiles. The addition of polyethylene wax can effectively reduces friction between the melt and extruder screws/dies, solves mold sticking and surface pitting of profiles, increases demolding efficiency by more than 30%, and improves the surface smoothness of profiles, reducing subsequent grinding processes.

3.SPC/WPC flooring

In the extrusion production of wood-plastic (WPC) flooring and stone-plastic (SPC) flooring.The addition of polyethylene wax can improve the compatibility between wood powder/calcium powder and resin, reduce melt viscosity, and solve material agglomeration and die blockage during extrusion. It also improves the surface slip and scratch resistance of flooring, extending the service life of flooring.
