Product Introduction:

1. Product Overview:
LZ68S is a high-performance Ca/Zn heat stabilizer specially formulated for SPC (Stone Plastic Composite) flooring extrusion. With a calcium content of 10–15% and metal oxide content ≥20%, it delivers excellent thermal stability, outstanding processing characteristics, and exceptional dimensional control required for rigid SPC planks and tiles. This eco-friendly stabilizer is the ideal choice for manufacturers producing high-quality, dimensionally stable SPC flooring for residential and commercial applications.

2. Product Principle:
LZ68S functions through a synergistic calciumzinc stabilization mechanism. During SPC extrusion, the calcium and zinc compounds react with hydrogen chloride released by thermal degradation of PVC, forming stable metal chlorides that prevent catalytic decomposition. The metal oxide content (≥20%) further enhances heat absorption and scavenges acidic species, promoting uniform temperature distribution throughout the melt. The broad melting range of 80–150°C ensures early activation in the feeding zone and sustained protection through the die, which is critical for maintaining consistent melt viscosity and preventing scorching. The high fineness (≥98% through 40 mesh) and apparent density (≥0.35 g/cm³) guarantee rapid, dustfree dispersion, even in highly filled SPC formulations containing limestone or calcium carbonate at 200–300 phr.

3. Performance Characteristics:
LZ68S delivers outstanding thermal stability with a heating decrease ≤25% and volatile content ≤1%, ensuring clean processing with minimal smoke, odor, or die plateout. This enables long, uninterrupted production runs and excellent surface quality. The balanced calcium content (10–15%) provides sustained long-term stabilization, preventing discoloration and embrittlement during prolonged extrusion or recycling of edge trim. The wide melting range allows the stabilizer to adapt to various extruder temperature profiles, making it suitable for both singlescrew and twinscrew extrusion lines. The high fineness ensures uniform distribution throughout the highly filled SPC formulation, eliminating local under-stabilization that could cause blistering or surface defects.

4. Usage and Dosage:
Recommended addition level is 3–6 phr based on total PVC resin weight, depending on filler loading, extruder configuration, and line speed. For standard SPC flooring with 250–300 phr calcium carbonate, 4–5.5 phr typically provides optimal heat stability and processing performance. For highspeed lines (20–30 m/min) or formulations containing recycled material, dosages toward 5–6 phr are recommended. Systematic trials should be conducted to finetune the dosage for specific equipment, filler types, and dimensional tolerance requirements.

Product Advantages:

1. Exceptional Thermal Stability for HighSpeed SPC Extrusion:
LZ68S provides robust heat protection throughout the entire extrusion process, preventing degradation, edge browning, and blistering even at line speeds exceeding 25 m/min. This ensures consistent colour and mechanical properties across largevolume SPC plank production.

2. Excellent Dimensional Control and Low Shrinkage:
The balanced stabilizer system, combined with its early activation, promotes uniform melt viscosity and reduces postextrusion shrinkage. This is critical for SPC flooring to maintain tight thickness tolerances (≤0.05 mm) and flatness, ensuring easy clicklock assembly and stable installation.

3. Clean Processing with Minimal Die Buildup:
Low volatile content (≤1%) and controlled heating decrease (≤25%) minimise fuming, odour, and plateout on calender rolls and embossing cylinders. This reduces cleaning downtime, improves workplace safety, and ensures consistently smooth, highgloss surfaces on finished SPC planks.

4. High Filler Compatibility and Mechanical Strength:
LZ68S’s excellent dispersion and couplinglike effect enhance the interfacial bonding between PVC resin and high levels of calcium carbonate (≥250 phr). This results in increased flexural strength, impact resistance, and dimensional stability while reducing brittleness and edge chipping during cutting.

5. Environmentally Friendly and HeavyMetalFree:
LZ68S contains no lead, cadmium, or other restricted heavy metals. It fully complies with RoHS, REACH, and global flooring emission standards (e.g., FloorScore, GREENGUARD), making it suitable for ecofriendly SPC products destined for international markets.

6. Enhanced Surface Appearance and Gloss:
The clean decomposition and uniform dispersion contribute to a brilliant surface finish with high gloss and no rough spots, die lines, or fisheyes. This reduces the need for expensive topcoat layers and improves the aesthetic appeal of the final flooring.

7. Improved Recycling Efficiency and Cost Savings:
LZ68S stabilises edge trim and production waste without significant property loss, enabling efficient inhouse recycling. Manufacturers can regrind and reextrude up to 20–30% of recycled material without compromising quality, reducing raw material costs and waste disposal.

8. Broad Processing Window and Equipment Compatibility:
The wide melting range (80–150°C) allows LZ68S to perform reliably on both singlescrew and twin-screw extruders, as well as on calenders. It reduces sensitivity to temperature fluctuations, making it easier to maintain consistent output quality across different production lines.

General instructions:

Packing: 25 kg/bag
Storage: Conventional storage
Processing: Valid for 2 years
Note: Store in a cool, dry warehouse away from heat, sunlight, moisture, and incompatible substances like strong oxidants or acids. Keep containers sealed when not in use.

Applications:

1. SPC Rigid Core Flooring:
LZ68S is the preferred stabilizer for SPC rigid core planks and tiles. It provides the thermal stability and dimensional accuracy required for highspeed continuous extrusion, ensuring tight thickness tolerances, flatness, and reliable clicklock profiles.

2. Calendered SPC Sheets for Embossing:
For SPC sheets that undergo deep embossing to replicate wood or stone textures, LZ68S maintains melt homogeneity and prevents surface defects. The low volatiles ensure clean, tearfree embossing with excellent pattern retention.

3. WPC (Wood Plastic Composite) Flooring:
Although primarily designed for SPC, LZ68S also performs well in WPC flooring formulations containing wood flour or fibre. It enhances dispersion and stabilises the composite against thermal degradation, producing boards with smooth surfaces and consistent density.

4. Luxury Vinyl Tiles (LVT) with SPC Core:
In multilayer LVT where an SPC core is combined with printed vinyl layers and wear layers, LZ68S stabilises the core without interfering with adhesion or causing outgassing that could lead to delamination. This ensures a robust, dimensionally stable composite structure.

5. Coextruded SPC Profiles:
For SPC skirting boards, stair nosing, or trim profiles, LZ68S delivers the same outstanding thermal stability and surface quality. It enables coextrusion with capstocks or colour layers without crosscontamination or degradation.

6. Highly Filled PVC Extrusions:
Beyond flooring, LZ68S can be used in any PVC extrusion containing high levels of mineral fillers (up to 350 phr). It prevents melt fracture, improves surface finish, and extends equipment life through reduced abrasion.

7. Recycled Content SPC Production:
For manufacturers incorporating postindustrial or postconsumer recycled PVC into SPC flooring, LZ68S stabilises residual impurities and compensates for reduced inherent stability, enabling highquality products with up to 30% recycled content.

8. HighSpeed Profile Extrusion:
In general rigid PVC profile extrusion (e.g., window trim, pipe, conduit) at line speeds exceeding 20 m/min, LZ68S provides the early activation and lasting protection needed to avoid scorching and dimensional variation.
