PM40 is a multi-purpose toughener engineered for foamed and solid PVC profiles alike. It boosts impact performance, toughness and anti-cracking property, lowers material brittleness, and optimizes extrusion stability as well as service life of finished goods. As an all-in-one auxiliary agent, it is an indispensable raw material for current PVC profile formulas, allowing producers to manufacture premium products for various scenarios by adopting just one single additive.

Description

Product Principle

PM40 works to adjust PVC microscopic structure in the extrusion process. It achieves even dispersion inside the resin and forms a delicate and uniform internal structure, which evenly absorbs and disperses impact force across the whole material to avoid stress accumulation at vulnerable areas. When used for foamed PVC products, it stabilizes foam cells and reinforces cell wall structure to stop cell merging and collapse. Its toughening function relieves internal residual stress that causes cracking and early product damage. Meanwhile, its special molecular structure increases PVC chain intertwining to upgrade overall mechanical performance.

Performance Characteristics

PM40 offers all-round toughening effects suitable for both foamed and solid PVC profiles. It greatly raises material impact strength, lifting notched impact performance by 40–60% on average and avoiding brittle breakage under external force. This auxiliary restrains crack generation and expansion, extending the service life of products under repeated load by 2 to 3 times. It strengthens melt strength and lessens extrusion surging to stabilize production, broadening the processing temperature range and supporting faster production speed. Featuring 98% active ingredient and strictly controlled particle size (coarse residue ≤2%), PM40 disperses quickly evenly, providing stable and efficient performance with low production loss.

Usage and Dosage

Total adding proportion: 4–12% based on the whole PVC formula
  • Foamed PVC profiles: 6–10% (to maintain uniform foam cells and balanced physical properties)
  • Solid non-foaming PVC profiles: 10–12% (to achieve maximum toughness and impact resistance)
    The most suitable addition amount should be confirmed through actual formula testing.
